Abigail Ogilvy Gallery is thrilled to announce our expansion to Los Angeles in 2023 led by Kaylee Hennessey. As Director of AOG x LA, Hennessey plans to focus on curatorial projects and collaborations, maintaining the overall gallery mission of creating thought-provoking exhibitions that engage with the community. Hennessey has worked at Abigail Ogilvy Gallery in the Boston location for five years, and she looks forward to bringing her experience with her to the West Coast. “For nearly five years, I have had the honor to work with Abigail Ogilvy Gallery and witness the growth of both the business and our community,” says Hennessey, “Abigail uses the gallery as a center of learning, a place where we build the careers of emerging artists and curators alike, while providing new opportunities. This has resonated with me since day one and I am thrilled to broaden our reach in LA. The value of her mentorship has been immeasurable, and I look forward to fostering the continued growth with our newly expanded community.”
Abigail Ogilvy reflects, “Kaylee is truly the backbone of the gallery and it has been an honor to have the opportunity to work with her for so many years. She has introduced top emerging artists to our gallery program, including Katrina Sánchez, Haley Wood, and Allison Baker, to name a few. She has a strong eye and wonderful relationships with our artists and collectors, we cannot wait to see what she brings to the new space in LA.”
Abigail Ogilvy Gallery will continue regular shows in the Boston location under the leadership of Ogilvy and Gallery Associate, Mariana Rey. Hennessey will continue her involvement with the Boston gallery, working with the team on exhibition planning and artist relationships.
